My Christmas Wishes for You

I’ve been thinking about you as we move closer to Christmas. Not the version of you who keeps everything running but the real you. The one who feels things deeply, who gets tired, who holds so much inside without ever saying much about it.

And I just wanted to send a few wishes your way.

I hope you get to slow down a little. Even if it’s just five quiet minutes in the morning with your coffee. Even if the house is still buzzing around you. I hope you get one moment that feels like it belongs only to you.

I hope you let something be easier this year. Maybe the presents aren’t perfect. Maybe the food is simple. Maybe you say no to something you don’t actually want to do. I hope you give yourself that tiny bit of breathing room.

I hope you make space for your own joy - the real kind. The kind that shows up in small moments, a warm blanket, a candle, christmas lights, your favourite song, a quiet car ride. Joy doesn’t have to be big. It just has to be yours.

I hope you feel supported instead of responsible. You don’t need to carry everyone’s emotions. You don’t need to hold the whole holiday together. I hope, even for a moment, you let someone take something off your plate.

I hope you rest without the guilt you usually feel. Close your eyes. Breathe. Let yourself stop. You don’t have to earn your rest, you just need it, and that’s enough.

I hope you talk to yourself kindly. You’re so good at being gentle with everyone else that I hope some of that softness finds its way back to you.

But most of all, I hope you feel safe being exactly who you are this Christmas. Whatever that looks like - tired, happy, messy, emotional, quiet, hopeful, overwhelmed, or all of it. You don’t have to hide any part of yourself to be loved.

If you get just one moment of stillness this season, one moment where your shoulders drop and your breath deepens, I hope you let it land. Let it remind you that you matter too. Not because of anything you do but simply because you’re you.

That’s my wish for you, this year and every year.

With so much love,

Mel x
