Join me for a full-day women’s retreat designed to help you reconnect with your authentic self and find your way home. This retreat is perfect for any woman seeking self-care and looking to explore practices that foster a deep connection to her true self. It offers a time to replenish, nourish, and be cared for.

During the retreat, we will delve into what has caused your disconnection and use practices such as yoga, meditation, and journaling, along with teachings that help you rediscover yourself on a deeper level.

When we come home to ourselves, we lean into our inner wisdom, become more aware of our needs and desires, and begin to live a fuller expression of who we were born to be. Taking this time for yourself will not only replenish you but also enable you to show up more fully for the people and responsibilities in your life.

All levels of yoga are welcome. I offer options for those new to yoga, but please note that the retreat includes a one-hour yoga flow in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon. If this type of movement does not work for you, consider my other day retreats: Restore, Release & Realign, and Nourish.

We have a SPECIAL GUEST joining us during the retreat. Danielle from @_intothecold will be leading us through a beautiful breathwork session.

Flow of the Day:

  • 9:15am: Arrive & settle in

  • 9:30 - 10:00am: Introductions & Intention Setting 

  • 10:00-11:00am: Slow Flow Yoga 

  • 11:00 - 12:00pm: Workshop - What causes us to become disconnected from ourselves

  • 12:00 - 1:00pm: Lunch

  • 1:00 - 1:15pm: Meditation

  • 1:00 - 2:00pm: Workshop - Learning to love yourself again

  • 2:00 - 2:30pm: Alignment Journaling

  • 2:30 - 2:45pm: Break

  • 2:45-4:00pm: Breathwork Session with Special Guest Danielle from @_intothecold

Danielle Makawy is a caring Early Childhood Educator, dedicated Mom and Wife, who has expanded her expertise to become a Breath and Deliberate Cold Exposure Guide.


Danielle helps people learn how to control their breathing to calm their nerves, get out of their heads, and change their state of mind.


Whether you're feeling overwhelmed or seeking a fresh perspective, Danielle's practical approach will guide you towards inner peace and mental clarity.

Hi, I'm Mel

Holistic Nutritionist, Yoga Teacher & Mindfulness Coach

For many years, I shape-shifted and lived behind a mask. I let the “shoulds,” “supposed tos,” and comparisons dictate my life, becoming completely disconnected from myself.

I was a perfectionist, people-pleaser, and busy mom, hiding the imperfect side of my life—the burnout, negative self-talk, and lack of self-worth and love. I kept this up until I could no longer hide.

In 2017, I began experiencing debilitating panic attacks and was diagnosed with depression, osteoarthritis, and an autoimmune thyroid condition. My body, which I had been neglecting, forced me to stop.

That was my wake-up call. I realized I needed to seriously reassess my life and well-being to live authentically, fully, and happily.

I recognized that despite my love for food, our relationship had been tumultuous. Decades of disordered eating involved deprivation, binging, hiding food, and counting calories. I used food and exercise to control my life. Committed to healing, I began nourishing myself through intuitive eating.

It also became clear that I wasn’t supporting my mind and soul. Despite having everything I thought I wanted, I felt empty and numb. I had forgotten who I was, what I enjoyed, and what fulfilled me.

I started practicing yoga and meditation, prioritizing myself. I took daily time for activities that nourished my soul—walking in nature, resting, listening to music or podcasts, and taking candlelit baths. Gradually, my energy increased, and I felt motivated, inspired, and excited again.

After my depression diagnosis, I began taking antidepressants, which helped, but I knew that wasn’t enough. I delved deep into my mind and heart, peeling back layers that had dimmed my light. I unpacked the negative and limiting beliefs I had held for decades and clarified what I wanted and needed.

The brain fog lifted, and I found the courage to open up to friends and loved ones and ask for what I needed. I set boundaries, spoke to myself with compassion and kindness, and, most importantly, I started to believe. I began to believe I am worthy of love, that I am enough, and that I am magical and powerful.

I found my way back home to my true, authentic self. Now, it’s my passion to help you reconnect with your beautiful body, mind, and soul.
